Technically, I was never a dancer. I have never attended extended dance classes, but rather sporadically when I wanted to give it a try. However, I always knew that my body needed to move and express itself in any kind of ways, therefore I have been practising many activities related to body movement such as running, yoga, climbing, or even theatre acting.
As I am easily bored, I can have fun through conventional sports only for a limited period of time. This is why I sought something fun, an activity in which I don’t think about the fact that I am actually doing sports. I tried some lessons of Partyrobics and I knew this was the only sport I will always be happy to practice at any time. I wanted to become an instructor to be able to share with other people this enthusiastic feeling that you get when practising Partyrobics®.
Partyrobics® is the only sport I will never be tired of. It helps you release the pressure of the day, it makes you empty your head while spending an inspiring moment of joy that you tacitly share with everyone in the room. Partyrobics® is not only a sport, but also a celebration of our body and mind. This is the feeling I want to share with the students. I want them to feel how I feel when I’m into the flow of the music and the dance, but above all I want them to shake off all the negative sensations they might have carried during the day.
I give classes on Monday 09:00 p.m. and on Tuesday 08:00 p.m. at the sports centre “Blocry”, Place des sports 1 in Louvain-la-Neuve (1348).
The classes are available for UCLouvain students.
